Shenae Grimes and Jamie Johnston played onscreen love interests when they co-starred in Degrassi: The Next Generation, as Darcy and Peter. The two have a seriously dramatic relationship, but whether it extends into their real lives is up for debate.
The fansite 90210show.net lists Shenae’s celebrity crush as Jamie Johnston (ooh la la) but realistically, they’re probably not an offscreen item. Shenae has moved onto 90210, and last summer JustJared.com linked her to another guy named Ethan Rapoport-Cole. That’s much more recently than she’s been linked to Johnston, for the record.
In an interview with Teen.com, however, Johnston did say of his character’s relationship with Darcy, “They had a pretty strong relationship. She was probably the best girlfriend for him.”
He added of Grimes, “I miss her.” Check it out below:
